Tally is designed for the places stock actually lives - glasshouses, growing yards, cold stores and loading bays, where connectivity is unreliable. Counts, receipts and photos are all taken offline and sync to Core when a connection returns. No lost work, and no standing in a doorway hunting for signal.

How many - and what state they are in.
Staff scan the QR code or barcode on a plant label to locate a batch instantly, then record the quantity against a disposition: on hand, found dead, poor condition, requires quarantine, not found, or moved elsewhere. One line can carry several - eighty on hand, five found dead - and the app keeps a running tally until everything expected is accounted for.
Recording the reason alongside the number is what lets the office write off, quarantine or simply adjust, instead of guessing at a variance.

Meet the lorry at the bay.
Tally now works the inbound side too. Staff on a bay's team see that bay's booked slots and inbound purchase orders, and mark a delivery arrived the moment the truck pulls in - without waiting for anyone in the office to log it.
Received quantities are recorded line by line and submitted as one receipt per truck. Back in Core that becomes a goods receipt note to finalise, or stock booked straight in. Being on the bay team is the whole story - there is no separate assignment step to forget.
field photos
A real photograph of the real plant.
Staff with permission can photograph stock where it stands and send each picture straight to that variant's gallery in Core. The variant is identified by scanning its label or typing the code, and the app confirms what it found before the photo is saved.
The result is a catalogue illustrated with the 25-litre Photinia in Greenhouse 2 as it looks this week - not a stock image bought years ago.
submitting
Submit when you are ready.
Finished counts and receipts are submitted to Core for processing. Where permissions allow, Tally surfaces variance data so discrepancies can be reviewed before a count is committed. Reconciliation stays a Core-side action - Tally's job is to get the data there accurately, and to keep proof of what was submitted.
